Awoo (“we,” “our,” “us”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.
Our app is intended for users aged 18 and above.
We designed Awoo as an anonymous chat and video chat application. We do not require account registration or personally identifiable information to use the core features.
We may collect:
- Anonymous Login Data – Firebase Authentication (anonymous or phone-based) for secure sessions.
- Device Information – Device type, OS, identifiers (for crash reporting, ads, analytics).
- Advertising Data – Google AdMob may collect data for personalized/non-personalized ads (based on user consent).
- Chat Data – Ephemeral (temporary) messages deleted once the chat ends.
- Camera & Microphone Access – Used only during live video calls to transmit video and audio in real time.
- No recording, storage, or background use.
We use collected data for:
- Connecting users in random one-on-one chats and video calls.
- Improving app performance and stability.
- Serving ads (with user consent).
- Preventing fraud, abuse, and misuse of services.
We do not sell your data.
3. Data Retention
- Chat messages – Temporary; deleted when a session ends.
- Camera & Microphone data – Not recorded or stored; only transmitted in real time.
- Crash logs, analytics, ads data – Retained by third-party services (Google/Firebase) under their policies.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.

Depending on your location:
- Access/Delete Data – Request deletion of stored data (if applicable).
- Opt-out of Ads – Via app consent settings or device ad settings.
- CCPA (California) – Right to opt out of “sale” of data (we do not sell data).
- GDPR (EU/EEA) – Withdraw consent anytime via app settings/consent dialog.
6. Consent Management (UMP & CCPA)
- We use Google’s UMP SDK for GDPR/CCPA compliance.
- Users may choose personalized ads, non-personalized ads, or ad-free (if available).
- Consent choices can be updated anytime in the app settings.
7. Children’s Privacy
- Our app is intended for users aged 18+ only.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children.
- If you are a parent/guardian and believe your child has used the app, contact us immediately.
8. Security
We use Firebase’s secure infrastructure and industry-standard measures to protect data.
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
